Save A Girl Child ... Because they are special

How it Began

Save A Girl Child is a campaign initiated by Child Literacy to create equal social opportunities for girls. Since there are more instances of discrimination against girls in the developing world, we focus more of our resources and time on projects therein. Within the developing world, Indian Subcontinent with a population of over 2 billion and rampant examples of unfair conduct detrimental to girl children is our area of focus.

Child Literacy statrted the Save A Girl Child campaign in the Spring of 2007 and since then has helped over 10,000 children in direct and indirect manner. Over 8,000 of these beneficiary girls have been served by the alliance between Child Literacy and AVJM, India. Please see our Participants tab for more info on the organizations supporting Save A Girl Child campaign.
